Our Founders

Dennis Tsakiris

Dennis Tsakiris brings extensive corporate experience to the culinary world,with a background in finance and accounting at global firms like Deloitte and Reckitt Benckiser. Upon retiring, Dennis partnered with his wife Effie to transform Blu Kouzina into more than just a restaurant.

Under his strategic guidance, the business expanded into delivery, catering, wholesale, retail, and food production services. His love for engaging with customers and commitment to “philoxenia,” the Greek spirit of hospitality, shapes the essence of Blu Kouzina’s dining experience, setting it apart from the rest.

Effie Tsakiris

Effie Tsakiris’s journey into the culinary world began with her passion for cooking authentic Greek meals for friends and family. The demand for her delectable dishes grew, leading to requests to cater events and parties. Recognising her gift for cooking, Effie opened the first Blu Kouzina restaurant in Bukit Timah in 2010.

Today, Blu Kouzina has expanded to five distinguished restaurants and multiple delivery locations across Singapore, and Sarasota, Florida, captivating both locals and international travelers. Effie continues to innovate and explore new recipes while preserving the authenticity of Greek and Mediterranean cuisine, ensuring Blu Kouzina offers the finest dining experience for all.

2020

Expanded delivery operations to New Delhi & Hong Kong

2021

Opened third Blu Kouzina restaurant in Singapore, expanded operations into Wholesale

2022

Expanded into food production and central kitchen operations

2023

Opened fourth Blu Kouzina restaurant in Singapore with fifth undergoing construction in Sarasota, Florida, as well as expand meal product range into Little Farms Grocery Store

Established in 2010, Blu Group has woven its distinctive narrative into the culinary fabric of Singapore. What recommenced as a heartfelt venture grounded in our founders’profound affection for wholesome cuisine and a mutual dedication to crafting exquisite extra virgin olive oil from our cherished estates, swiftly burgeoned into a culinary phenomenon. At its genesis, Blu Group was conveniences as the epitome of authentic Greek gastronomy - a sanctuary where the essence of the Mediterranean could find solace amidst the dynamic heart of Singapore.

We believe that the cornerstone of a truly memorable dining experience is the quality of ingredients we serve. Like doting parents ensuring their children’s well being, we meticulously select only the finest, top-quality ingredients to nourish our customers, safeguarding their health and culinary delight. While we honor the requests of our valued customers, offering fried dishes when desired, even in this, we maintain our commitment to excellence by using extra virgin sunflower oil.

At Blu Kouzina, authenticity reigns supreme. Our dedication to preserving the truest form of Greek and Mediterranean cuisine is unwavering. We reject the use of processed products and have never embraced the convenience of microwaves in our kitchens, or shortcuts. Instead, we uphold the tradition of freshness and authenticity, ensuring that every dish that graces your table is a testament to the roots and traditions of our cuisine. Our philosophy is simple yet profound - to approach ever hint with the utmost integrity, providing our patrons with food that is fresh, genuine, and crafted with the same love and care that one would bestow upon their own children.
